Sara von Sommaruga MSc

We all experience difficult times in our lives and struggle to cope on our own.  During these times we could benefit from talking to a counsellor.

I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor working for 17 years privately and in local comprehensive counselling services.  During this time I have built successful working relationships with local Doctors, CAHMS and young people’s services.

I work with young people aged from 10-26, providing both long term and short term therapy with individuals and families.

In addition to having an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling for Children and Adolescents I also have a Diploma in Group Supervision and continue to engage in regular training and other developmental activities. I am an Associate Lecturer at London University, teaching on the MSc Psychodynamic Counselling for Adults and provide supervision to both trainee and qualified counsellors.

I am an Accredited and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow the ethical codes and practices and am up to date with safeguard training.
